The Indian Butterfly Goby is actually a dwarf waspfish, related to the freshwater lionfish. They are found in slightly brackish to marine waters. Salinity ranges from 7-15ppt. They do best with non aggressive tank mates that are too big to fit in their mouth. Care should be taken not to handle these fish as they have venomous spines.
